Befere the Resident Magistrate. Ellen Dougherty this morning appeared, pursuant to remand, and as the captain of the vessel she named refused to take her, the Magistrate committed her to gaol for one month,, with hard labour. Prisoner begged to be let off, but was told that she should have reflected on possible punish-, jnent when she was offending,
