THE TOWN CLOCK

QUESTION OF RE-ERECTION INQUIRY BY CR G. S. CLARKE 1 Was it not time someone made a move regarding the re-erection of the town clock ? asked Cr G. S. Clarke at Monday evenings’ meeting of the local Borough Council. The Mayor said there was a move to have the clock erected in the traffic circle. Completion of the circle had been waited for for six years, and it was not desired at this stage to press for the clock’s erection there. Once the circle was finished the Council would press to have the clock erected there. Cr Clarke said that so long as something was being done in the matter he was satisfied.

The Mayor assured Cr Clarke that definite steps were being taken, and the discussion closed.
