Rev. Canon Strong, who has been a guest at the Te Awamutu Hotel, left last night for Oamaru.
Mr and Mrs Bollard, of Auckland, were guests at the Commercial Hotel last night.
Group-Captain Denton, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Wellington, was a visitor to Te Awamutu yesterday and was a guest at the Commercial Hotel.
Flight-Lieutenant (acting-Squadron Leader) F. B. McWhannell, M.C., has been promoted to the rank of squadron leader (temporary) in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, administrative and special duties branch. Squadron Leader McWhannell is well known in the Waikato.
