Question of Aggregation

The question of undue aggregation was raised at a sitting of the Hamilton Land Sales Committee in Hamilton when Mrs G. J. Baker, of Hamilton, sought to purchase a house property in Hamilton East, Mrs Baker wanted the house for her daughter who was the present tenant occupying the premises. The chairman, Mr S. Lewis, said the committee found no demand for houses which were occupied by tenants. It would therefore waive the question of aggregation subject to an undertaking by the purchaser to sell a property owned by her at Maeroa within 12 months. Evidence releaved that among them the Bakers owned nine properties.
