SUB-DIVISION APPROVED
MRS LOOMB’S PROPERTY The engineer, in his memorandum to the Waipa County Council on Monday, stated: “ Mr Gibbs has submitted a scheme plan covering a further portion of Mrs Loomb’s sub-division lying between Te Rahu Road and the Te Awamutu-Cambridge main highway. The plan conforms to the Council’s requirements. In respect to area and frontage of the sections, on Te Rahu Road the present condition of the natural water-course is such that the Council could not issue building permits at the present time for three sections, though it would be posible to improve the drainage so as to enable houses to be built on them. Two of the three sections on the Te Awamutu-Cambridge main highway may present some difficulty in regard to septic tanks, but then it is possible to considerably improve the surface drainage on these sections.” The engineer said it was unfortunate that there was no power to insist on footpaths being provided. The Council approved the sub-divi-sion. >
