Mr F. C. Roberts, of the Waikato Sub-Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union, was in Te Awamutu yesterday.
Mr R. G. Stock, of Ngutunui, has been added to the executive of the Te Awamutu branch of the Farmers’ Union.
Mrs F. W. Bevin, of Picton, is visiting Te Awamutu, and is the guest of Mr and Mrs C. W. Rickit, Alexandra Street.
At a meeting of the WharepuhungaKorakonui Rabbit Board held yesterday Mr T. D. Jolly was re-elected chairman. Members paid a tribute to Mr Jolly’s > enthusiasm in connection with the Board’s work.
Our Pirongia correspondent writes as follows: Mrs Gordon Bainbridge, who has been visiting Taupiri, has returned home. Mrs Eric Bell and family spent the school holidays at Cambridge. Mrs Philburn is the guest of her mother, Mrs Hart, Pirongia. Mrs T. Bardsley, Jnr, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned home. Mr and Mrs A Park have returned from a holiday at Raglan. Miss N. Green, of Auckland, is visiting her sister, Mrs J. Grace, Mountain Road. Mrs C. Bainbridge has returned from a holiday spent ot Matamata. Mrs W. Butler, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs W Bell, Pirongia.
