KAKEPUKU NOTES
SPORTS CLUB FORMED There was an enthusiastic attendance of 35, and a sports club was formed, to be known as the Pokuru District Sports Club. An annual sports meeting will be held. Membership fee was fixed at 2s 6d each. The following committee was elected: President, Mr Ken Jones; vice-presidents, Messrs' H. R. Clark and A. E. Ray; secretarytreasurer, Mr J. Box; assistant secretary, Mr A. Gray; committee, Messrs W. J. Pittams, C. Jones, E. Bosswell, R. F. Harris, S. Harris, C. Kovalenki, L. Gray, C. Bastin, A. O. Law, A. Murray, C. Budden, T. Ray and E. H. Melville; executive committee, president, vice-presidents, secretary-treas-urer, Messrs W. J. Pittams, W. J.* Gray, and J. Jeffries. TE RAU-A-MOA NOTES Mr and Mrs H. Knight, of Te Kuiti, are spending a few days with Mr and Mrs W. J. Parkinson. Miss Betty. Cleave, of Te Awamutu, is spending her term holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs G. P. Cleave. Mrs N. Henderson and family have returned to Hamilton after being the guests of Mr and Mrs W. H. Daysh over the weekend.
Mrs E. Collie is at present visiting Auckland. Miss June Budden, of Pokuru, is staying with her sister, Mrs Millar Anderson, Pirongia West Road. Miss Helen Heron, of Auckland, is home for the term holidays.
