W.C.T.U.

TE AWAMUTU BRANCH The Te Awamutu branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union met last week, the president, Mrs W. Alexander, presiding. Various matters of business were attended to, and the usual bring-and-buy was held. One feature of the meetings is the preliminary prayer meeting, where a short period of Intercession in this time of world conflict is held.

During the afternoon two solos were very pleasingly sung by Mrs Hooper,, the accompanist being Mrs J. R. Cullen.
