COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL

TO TROOPER MATHER At a social gathering held in the Wharepuhunga Hall on Friday last, Trooper Jack Mather was the recipient of a presentation from the settlers of the district, Mr D. Jolly making the presentation on their behalf. In doing so he referred to Trooper Mather’s long and happy association with the district and wished him luck in the future.

Martial decorations, designed by Mrs Wottan, were a feature of the hall, and O’Brien’s Orchestra provided excellent music. Mr J. Ranshaw was M.C., and Mr J. Richmond acted as doorkeeper. A dainty supper was provided under the direction of Mrs Alex. Reid and Mrs Hockey.
