TOWN BOARD MEETING

The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Wednesday last, Mi- R. P. Robinson presiding. Other members present were Messrs J. A. Marquis, E. Glassey, F. Sapsford. and . A. Maunder. A letter was received asking that attention be given to Leslie Street, so that it could be used with safety. It was decided to see what could be done if labour was available. The Rehabilitation Board acknowledged receipt of the Town Board’s proposal re rehabilitation of returned men, and advised that the proposal would be incorporated with plans on a Dominion-wide basis. It was decided that the usual service be held at the Town Hall on Anzac Day, and that members of the Returned Services’ Association, the Home Guard, the Maori Platoon, and The Te Awamutu Municipal Band be invited to attend. Accounts totalling £46 16s wtere passed for payment.
