LUCKY ESCAPE

CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE Mr Dave Thompson, hairdresser, of Te Awamutu, had what is described as a miraculous escape from serious injury when the push bicycle he was riding came into collision with a motor car near the corner of Alexandra and College Streets at 10.30 o’clock on Wednesday night. It appears that the cyclist and the car were proceeding in the same direction when they contacted, the cyclist sustaining abrasions and a severe shaking. He was attended by Dr Hiskens and afterwards proceeded to his home. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
