THE GAME OF GOLF

The first round of a combined stableford senior and junior competition was played in the weekend. Leading the field are R. F. Armstrong, 85—14—34, and T. Kirk, 89—20—34, with a total of 68 points. The second round will be played next week-end. Opponents arranged in the club house. TE AWAMUTU LADIES CLUB The Ladies’ Club held their opening day on Sunday last, there being a good attendance. A Canadian foursomes competition was won by Mrs Regan and Mrs Coombes. The Ladies’ Golf Club are holding a three-round stableford. Players will choose their own partners. The first round will be played on Saturday, 27th March.
