PATRIOTIC DANCE

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION The Ladies’ Patriotic Committee held a particularly well attended and successful dance in the Town Hall on Saturday night last. Music was supplied by Mrs E. Holmes, and the happy throng, swayed by the perfect rhythm of the orchestra, halted for a space to engage in competition for a Monte Carlo waltz, which was won by Mrs H. Renton and Mr F. Woodd. During a delicious supper, which was served by the committee members, Mrs T. W. Dibble obligingly played an extra. With Mr A. B. White officiating in his usual efficient manner as master of ceremonies, the evening was a highly enjoyable one, and all the young people were genuinely sorry to herald the approach of midnight, which brought the evening to a close. Proceedings terminated with “God Save the King.”
