WEDDING BELLS

O’REGAN—SANDS A marriage of interest was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, Cambridge, when Margaret Jessie Sands was married to John Timothy O’Regan, of Ngahinepouri. The bride is the elder daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Sands, of Cambridge, and the bridegroom is the second son of Mr and Mrs E. J. O’Regan, of Morningside, Auckland. The Rev. C. W. Chandler was the officiating minister and Mr R. B. Boyce played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, was wearing a tailored frock of mushroom triple sheer worn with an embroidered matching coatee. Her veiled hat of toning felt and straw was worn with the veil over the face as she entered the church and she carried a bouquet of deep red roses and carnations. Mrs M. T. Hicks attended her sister as matron-of-honour. She wore a frock of cornflower blue sheer, a matching straw hat and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and roses. Mr E. J. O’Regan, brother of the groom, was the best man and Messrs M. T. Hicks and L. O’Regan were ushers at the church. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where beautifully decorated tables were erected in the garden, bowls of pastel shaded sweet peas and carnations being charmingly offset by the surrounding greenery. Mrs Sands was wearing a viola frock embroidered in self colour and worn with grey accessories, and she carried stock and carnations in mauve tonings. Mrs O’Regan, who assisted in receiving the guests, wore a black ensemble relieved with touches of white and a bouquet of pink flowers. Later when Mr and Mrs J. T. O’Regan left for the honeymoon the bride travelled in a Clipper grey tailleur with model hat and black accessories.
