LICENSING WARNING

HOT WATER ON RACECOURSES. “PROVISION MUST BE MADE.” “There is one matter the committee is going to make mention of, and that is concerning hot water facilities,” said the chairman of the Thames Licensing Committee, Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., at the quarterly meeting, when a conditional license was granted E. P. Fathers, of Paeroa, for the Thames Trotting Club’s meeting.

“The committee has decided that hot water facilities must be provided to comply with the regulations of the Health Department and the satisfaction of the Health Inspector,” added the chairman. “They must be of a permanent nature, and unless this is done the next application for a conditional license will not be granted.” It was in the interests of public health that this matter should be attended to so that glasses could be properly sterilised, added Mr Freeman.

The application was granted on this occasion.
