RIFLE SHOOTING
SERIES OF TROPHY MATCHES. The Otorohanga Defence Rifle Club commenced a series of matches for the Palmer Trophy at the local range, during last week-end. Seven shots were fired at 300 yards with a double range, for handicap members only, but the score counts in the championship. The best totals were:—S. C. Long (62); H. Murphy (62); E. Southall (62); K. McDonald (60); F. Thomas (59); J. Klein (56); A. Rutland (56); H. J. Harris (55); H. E. Lawrence (55); J Cowan (45)
