TE AWAMUTU.—WEDNESDAY. (Before Mr W,. H. Freeman, S.M.) The following undefended civil cases were dealt w’ith at the Te Awamutu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, when Mr W. H- Freeman, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff in each case, w’ith costs:— Public Trustee v. E. G. Stevenson, claim £6 2s 6d, with costs £2 4s 6d. Newton King, Ltd., v. K. F. O. Smith, claim £44 9s 7d, costs £4 2s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. D. McL. Wallace, Ltd., v. C. H. Morrow’, claim £8 12s lid-—Defend-ant said he was now employed as a share-milker, but at his previous job, in nine months, he was employed on wages. He claimed to have about £27 due to'him as bonus from the previous season, and that two amounts totalling about £2O had been withheld from cheques due for replacing tw’o electric motors in the shed- He had not received insurance for a period of eight weeks’ incapacity through illness, though he himself had paid a substitute worker. At this stage the case w’as adjourned till next Court day’ (16th June). Clark and McMillan v. L. D. Carmichael, claim £l3 19s Id.—Order made (by consent) for £1 per month, w’ith the usual penalty for default. Advance Cars, Ltd., v. Raureti te Huia, claim £l9 9s 3d.—Order made, v.’ith the usual default, for payment at the rate of £2 per month. Munn and Anstis. Ltd., v. H. Mitchell, claim £l3 19s 6d.—After hearing debtor, His Worship declined to make an order. Gordon and Gotch, Ltd., v. J. Dalziel claim £9 17s 6d.—Ordered to pay forthwith, with a default of seven days’ imprisonment.
