TE RAU-A-MOA NOTES
ANNUAL BALL. (Our Own Correspondent.) The Te Rau-a-moa Hall Society held its annual ball on Thursday last. There was a good attendance, including visitors from Ngutunui, Kawhla, Gparau and Hauturu. The hall had been prettily decorated with nikaus and shrubs and orange and blue streamers. Music was supplied by Miss Alma Davies (piano), the Rev. R. S. Coldham-Fussell (cornet), and Mr Anderson (drum). Extras were played by Miss Wynyard and Mr S. Evans, Oparau. Mr Rogei Dickson carried out the duties ot M.C. in his usual hearty manner. A bountiful supper was provided, and the whole evening was most enojyable. The ball resulted In a satisfactory addition to the hall funds. The Public Works Department has set up a camp of some twenty men on the Hauturu Road, with the object ot reforming, and later metalling, some miles ot road. Miss Easy, who has been spending a holiday at Morrinsville, has now returned home. Miss Dassler is at present on a holiday with relatives in Auckland. Mrs W. Parkinson has returned from a holiday at Manurewa, where she has been visiting her mother, Mrs Muir.
