OBITUARY

MR SAMUEL TREWIN The death occurred at the Lynton Hospital on Sunday evening of Mr Samuel Trewin, at the age of 73. The deceased had been living at the residence of Mr J. E. Leeson, of Hangawera road, Morrinsville, for about five weeks, when he took ill and was taken to the Lynton Hospital about a fortnight ago. The late Mr Trewin was born in Cornwall, England, where he was interested in tin mining. Since then he has lived in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, coming to New Zealand in the ’Bo’s. He returned to England and about 15 years ago came back to New Zealand, where he has been ever since. He retired about 16 months ago, from his occupation as manager of the Waipawa waterworks, which position he held for 8 years.

The deceased leaves a wife, who is residing in England, and three sons, two of whom are in England, while the third resides at Te Aroha. —Morrinsville Star.
