According to the Plains Gazette there are now over 20 farmers from the Waihi district sending cream to Te Aroha. At the Thames Valley A., P. and H. Association Show last week Mr C. Parsons was awarded first prizes in both classes for carnations. Between 30 arid 40 men are engaged on the new station work at Paeroa. A powerful steam navvy is also employed shifting a/ large quantity of soil. , • f%' i' . .' \ ../., V- ‘ •; Their Excellencies, Viscount and Lady Jellicoe and family will leave New Zealand, by the R.M.S. Tahiti, which is due to 'sail for .Sydney from Wellington on November 26th.
A monstei* bazaar will be held at Waitoa on Wednesday, the 26th. The admission will be free and a program cJf exceptional merit will be provided, including maypole dances by the children both in the morning and the evening. Other attractions will be a Christmas tree, guessing competitions, a shooting gallery and a Father Christmas. There will, of course, be all kinds of articles on sale, as well as produce and poultry, and afternoon tea will be provided.
