THE CARNIVAL

QUEEN OF HERRIESVILLE

A meeting of ladies was field at the residence of Mrs N. J. Ray, Herriesville, last week to promote the interests of the Queen of Herriesville. A strong committee was formed, of which Mrs Rix is president and Mrs W. Eastwood secretary. It has been arranged that a Garden Party shall be held at Mrs Ray’s on Saturday next, and a Garden Party with Xmas Tree at Mrs Rix’s on the following Wednesday. Steps are now being taken to form a men’s committee to supplement the work already begun by the ladies. Having won the carnival of 1918, Herriesville folk see every reason why they should win the present one, and are taking the necessary steps to that end.
