•ANNIVERSARY SERVICES.AND CONCERT
The Salvation Army held their fourth Anniversary in the Masonic Hall on Sunday last, the services for that day being conducted by .StaffCaptain Powick, of Auckland. There was a record attendance at each service. A pleasing feature of the evening service was the enrolling of Mr and Mrs G. Manson as Soldiers to the Army. ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
On Monday night the Anniversary Concert was held in Wesley Hall, which was well filled. A bright, interesting and lengthy programme was submitted to an appreciative audience. Praise is due to Staff-Captain Powick, Captain Rotherham, Lieut. Blick, Girl Guards, and their band of willing workers for rendering such a fine programme. At the conclusion Captain Rotherham thanked all those who had contributed in making the Anniversary such a success. The following programme was rendered:—Company song, “Christ for the whole wide World”; prayer; company song, “Climb up Sunshine Mountain”; recitation, E. Morse; pianoforte solo, Elsie Tilsley; tableau, “The Ten Virgins,” tableau party; recitation, Nellie Devey; duet, Misses B. and W. Glovet; illustrated song, “Rock of Ages,” Lieut. Blick and party; recitation, Eric Manson; tableau, “Rebecca at Well and Dorcas,” tableau party; duet, H. Cochrane and N. Devey; company song, “The Children's Friend”; duet, “Bubbles,” Mai Mai Holmes and Eric Manson; “Unless Ye Repent,” Misses Smith, Butterworth, Milne and Lieut. Blick; recitation, “Memories,” Grace Kennington; solo, Miss C. Milne; pianoforte solo, N. Devey; tableau and song, “Sing of the Redeemed,” tableau party; recitation, K. Preen; recitation Captain Rotherham.
