Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., has arrived at Kyoto, Japan. Mr T. J. Ryan of Morrinsville has been appointed secretary of the Norfolk Dairy Co. Mr Ryan has been acting-secretary for the past few months. Mr A. J. Burrows has been confined to his bed through illness for some days past. His friends will unite with us in wishing him a speedy recovery to good health. ,Mr Bonar Law, who recently resigned the position of Prime Minister of the British Government, died on Tuesday. The cause of his death was pneumonia. Dr. H. W. Cleary, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, will arrive in Te Aroha on Sunday afternoon after opening a new church at Paeroa on Sunday morning. At the evening service at St. Joseph’s, Te Aroha, he will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to quite a number of Candidates from Te Aroha, Morrinsville, Manawaru and other neighbouring districts. Dr. Cleary will leave Te Aroha on Monday morning.
