FAREWELL DANCE

TO MISS M. GILCHRIST A farewell dance in honor of Miss Marjory Gilchrist was given in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening last. Miss Gilchrist leaves Te Aroha on Wednesday next to take up nursing at the Auckland Hospital, and the dance was arranged by her friends. The hall was prettily decorated for the occasion. The colour scheme was blue and yellow with greenery as relief. About 35 couples were present. Mesdames Bliss and Ranby acted as hostesses, and Mesdames Spence, Wyborn, Ranby and Bliss as chaperones. Mr Wylie was M.C., and Mr Harbridge was responsible for the music. Miss Gilchrist is a Te Aroha girl and will be missed. by her numerous friends and acquaintances, who will unite in wishing her success in her new sphere.
