CHESS

LOCAL TOURNEY BEGUN

The Te Aroha Chess Club commenced its annual tournament on Saturday evening, great interest being centred in the contest by members. The secretary, Mr A. J. Burrows is arranging for inter club matches, 'as the strength of the club has very materially improved this year. The president, Mr F. L. Kenrich is donating a valuable trophy for the tournament.
