100 People Poisoned
“ More than one hundred deaths have been reported in New York alone during the last month from dlinking poieouous liquor.” That is a statement issued by Mr Day, P. ohibition Director, and reported in (ho “jNew York Tribune ” The State Druggists’ Association declares that bootleg liquors now on sale contain lysol, mercury, formaldehyde, carbolic acid, lead, copper, zinc and wood alcohol. The association protests against the granting of druggists' licenses to people who merely nse them to camouflage sly.grog shops. In New Zealand, if we get Prohibition, we shall surely have its corollaries—poisonous booze . and drugs. Vote Continuance and a regulated liquor trade above ground. 14
