TE AROHA V. PAEROA AT TE AROHA The second round of the Goldfields’ Senior Cadets’ Rugby Union was opened on Saturday last, wheu tho Waihou cadets met, aud debated the Paeroa team by 8 points to 3. The Union is comprised of thre e clubs, viz, Te Aroba, "Paeroa, and Waihou, who arc competing for gol t mobile. Following is the position of clubs to date : Te Aroba—Played two matches, won two—total points, 4. Paeroa—Played three matches, wou>one —total poiuts, 2. Waihou —Played three matches, wou one—total points, 2. To-morrow, at the local sports ground, the Te Aroba- cadets will play the Paeroa- cadets. The game will commenc-' at 3 pm. Following is the team selected by Mr J. Maloney to represent Te Aroba: — Full-back, A. Smardon ; throequarters, J. Gaviu, R. Eastwood, P. Gaviu; tive-eighths, J. Snell; half. J. Sanderson (oapt.)|; wing forwards, W. Newsham, W. MuSweeucy ; forwards, 1. Grice, R. Annan, A. Sweeney, E. Grattan, N. Patterson. H. Moon, J. Smytbe. Emergencies: forwards,. N. Grice, P. Geaney, R. Bates; backs, N. Gray.
Mr E. Moore ’(uuion referee) will control the game.
