WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TEAMS A fairly-we U-attended meeting of enthusiasts was held in the Baud Room on Monday evening last. Mr K. Wright presided. Miss E. Jacksou was elected secretary of tho ladies’ club. The "election of officers, and other business, was left stand over until Monday evening next at 7 30, when a general raeetiug will bo held in Mr A. W. Edwards’ farmers’ room. An endeavour to form a gent.s’ team will also be made at this meeting. The first practice took place at the sports’ ground |lasfc Wednesday, and was very largely attended. TECHNICAL SCHOOL TEAM The girl students of the local technical school have also formed a team. Following is the result of the election of officers :—Captain, D. Keesiug ; vice-eaptaiu, A. Forrest; chairwomau R. Muirro; and secretary and treasurer, B. Bygrave. This team will hold its first practice ou the sports ground ou Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
