Wedding Bells
ROOTS—READHEAD At the residence of the bride’s parents yesterday the marriage of Miss Jane Readhead, only daughter of Mr and Mrs George Readhead, to Mr Norman Roots/ son of Mrs T. J. Roots, was solemnised, the Rev. P. R. Paris being the officiating clergyman.
The bride was attired in a ere M frock with pearl and silk trimmings with the usual veil and orange blossoms. Miss Olive Dixon, who wore a robe of olive green, was bridesmaid. Both the bride and bridesmaid carried shower boquets of white chrysanthemums and maiden hair. Mr Douglas Roots filled the position of best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a set of sable furs, nnd to the bridesmaid a handsome hand-bag. Afternoon tea was dispensed to a large number of guests, and the happ? couple afterwards left on the honeymoon tour to Rotorua and Taranaki.
