OHINEMURI.

Waihi, Tuesday

As anticipated very little interest was taken in the election of a Licensing Committee for the Ohinenruri district, as far as the Waihi booths were concerned, under 500 persons exercising their privileges. The local figures were: — Joseph E. Slevin, 355 votes; Alfred Nottingham, 352; Thomas N. E, Kenney 337 ; Alfred Tetley, 323 ; George Yearbury, 306; Charles, Trezise, 163; Willliam Forrest, 155; Frederick Cock, 151.

The first five candidates mentioned represent the “ ticket ” supported by the No license party, and it is considered likely that when nhe returns are completed it will be found that they have been erected.
