Farmers’ Union Meeting at Waihou.
A melting of the Farmers’ Union wa s held at Waihou on Wednesday, Mr J. B Thomas, president, presided. There was a good deal of correspondence of interest to the farmer to deal with.
Amongst the most important to this district being the new dairy regulation, which after a deal of discussion, it was decided to adjourn, and call > another meeting of milk suppliers for Wednesday next, to deal with this most important matter. The Secretary stated he had a copy of all the evidence given before the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee at Wellington. It was decided to leave the pig question the same meeting. Tenders for grass-seed were also dealt with. It seems a pity that farmers generally do not take a more active in terest in theiUnion’s doing. It is most certain that their affairs are well-looked after by those holding office. All information as to business done can be obtained from the president or secretary, and 11 it is of financial interest to get that information. ick, field B nd and take very Jittle painting, igg & Co.—Advt.
