The ceremony of conferring the degrees of New Zealand University, gaiDed by Wellington students during the past year, took place on Saturday last at the Girls' High School. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, the JRev. J. C. Andrew, presented the diplomas, while His Excellency the Governor and Sir G. M. O'Rorke were present. The following were the recipients of degrees : — A. Hine. B.A. ; T. R. Fleming, M.A. and LL.B.; A. K. Meek , M. A. ; and \V . H. West, LL. D. The following diplomas were also presented to students who had previously obtained M.A. degrees : — Miss E. Searle, and Messrs Levi and Evans. At the conclusion of the ceremony, addresses were delivered by Sir G. M. O'Rorke, the Vice-Chancellor, and His Excellency the Governor. The proceedings were orderly throughout.
