THE NEW WARDEN,

As announced by an Extra, on Tuesday last, Mr Henry Aldburough Stratford, R.M. Wairarapa ; formerly Warden for Otago, and subsequently for Greymouth, West Coast, lias been appointed R.M. for the district of Hauraki, and Warden for the districts of Ilauruki and To Aroha, vice Mr 11. Kenrick, deceased. Mr Sratford had arranged to leave for Auckland by the s.s. Australia on Tuesday last, but by later communications we learn his departure was unavoidably postponed until yesterday.
