IMPORTED IMPLEMENTS. One of the most interesting features in the show of imported manufactures is the display of musical instruments from Messrs Hoffmann s warehouse, which is arranged in the exhibition building. It comprises pianos by Brinsmead, Collard, Esdaile, Ecke, Forster, and Bord, American organs by Mason and Hamlin, and harmoniums by Pirie ; a set of brass band instruments (value £110), set of woo i instruments (value £10), and an assortment of violins &c. (valued at £100). Messrs Tonks and Co. have fine double concord and family buggies, shootingcarts, phaetons, waggonettes, etc., the aggrc gate value of the exhihit being about £700 or £800. Mr Beale has a varied assortment of sewing-machines. Messrs Porter and Co. reapers and binders, fire, engines, and hand-grenades, and Messrs T. and S Morrin and Co. reapers and binders, portable engine, furrow plough and hay rake. The collection of imported im. plements is much inferior to those of previous years. Hoffmann and Sons, collection of pianos by various makers, and other musical instruments. E. Porter and Co.'s collection of reapers, binders, and fire grenades. T. ana S. Morrin and Co.'s (Limited) collection of reapers, binders, portable engine, &c. W. J. Beale, collection of sewing machines. E. Porter and Co., incubator, Francis's Patent. A. Oldham and Son, collection of flax matting and binder twine. Northern B. and S. M. Co. (Limited), collection of boots and shoes. There arc no awards declared in this department.

LOCAL INDUSTRIES. Under this department .there are a mimber of interesting exhibits. Messrs E. Porter and Co.'s incubator (Francis patent) in operatien received an amount of attention. MrH. H. Smith is as usual to the fore with a large number of his excellent colonial ovens. Oldham and Sons exhibit some flax matting am binder twino Messrs W. and E. Basten's collection of carriages is first class, comprising hansom cab with silver mountings, double-seated buggy, Aucklandia (four wheel dog-cart with steel wheels), Prince of Wales pair wheel dog-cart, Central Park pair wheel dog-cart, Maud S. trotting sulky. Mr James Mackie exhibits a fine spider buggy, and Messrs Cousins and Atkin show a fine 'bus built to the order of Messrs Patterson, to run on the Moutif Roskill line. This is very lirge, being capable of seating a large number of passengers. Mr E. C. Hopkins exhibits aflnely executed carved bracket worthy of speoial notice on account of tho excellent natureof the workmanship. Itis nnfortunntothat there is no prize awarded, as tho exhibitor is youthful, and such efforts should be specially encouraged.
