Tbeunnuulmeetingof tlieLiconsirjgCommiltee for Auckland North district takes place on Monday next, and the clerk (Stoney) has, at the instance of the Committee, issued notices to the licensees of six hotel* to the eff jet that objections will be tnken to the renewal of their license*. The grounds of the objections are various, including Sunday trading, insufficient nccommodation, and " Not required in tlje neighbourhood." The prescribed hotels are : Governor Brown, Empire, Clanricarde, Wliarf, Cosmopolitan, and Shamrock. The steamer Macgregor has been, raised and floated into Bon Accord Harbour, where is safely beached.
