TROPHIES FOR COMPETITION. The trophies for competition at the Show cn Wednesday next, which are now cn view in Mr. H. D. Bond’s window, make a splendid view show. They are sixteen in number, and range in value from the handsome Peacock Cup to gold medals. Following is a list of the trophies: . Peacock Cup—Presented by Yvatt and Lowry, for farmers’ classes and local farmers ’ stock. Gup—Presented by F. Hintz, Esq., pen of 3 steers under' 3 years. Cup—Presented by Barraud Abrahams, as a points prize in cattle. Cup—Presented by G. A. Wheeler, Esq., for best ladies’ hunter. Cup—Presented by J. C. Whenuaroa, Esq., for best hunter, steeplechase style. 1 Cup—Presented by J. A. Anderson, Esq., for draught stallion. 1 : Cup—Presented by F. W. H. Luefs, Esq., points prize in draught horses. Cup—Presented by T. Mann, Esq., for best mare with foal at foot. Cup Presented by G. D. Goodrich, Esq., for best dairy heifer n Class 84. Ros e ; Bowl—Presented by Manawatu Auctioneering Association, for best 5 ewes in Class 143. Rose Bowl—Presented by Miss Fitzberbert, for best maiden hunter, v Tea Pot—Presented by H. D. Bond, points prize in home cooking. Gold Medal—Presented by T. W* Williams, Esq., points prize for purebred Romney sheep. Gold Medal—Presented by J. R. Taylor, Esq., for best collection of potatoes, class 203. Gold Medal— For best collection of vegtables in class 198.
