ALEXIEFF WINS BIG BATTLE.

PETROGRAD, Feb 17

It is reported that Aiexieff’s army won a battle in the vicinity of Woroneshi, which is now surrounded by Cossacks, and is expected to fall shortly. The battle resulted in 3000 being killed and Avounded on both sides.

Street fighting is reported at Kiefi, where the White Guards dislodged the Red Guards from the arsenal, killing over 1500 workmen. The Kieff Revolutionary Committee Avere shot en masse. Soviet deputy forces, comprising Ukraine and Bolshevik regiments, are now attacking the White Guards encamped in Petshovsk monastery.
