<Roc. Sept. IS, 9.15) SEATTLE, Sept. 4. Colonel Greeney, the newlyappointed Chief Forester of the United States, savs Alaska contains about 100,000,000 cords of pulp wood and can produce 1,500,000 tons of newsprint yearly, which virtually equals the amount which the United States is now compelled to import from Canada. Two large mills will shortly be established in Alaska for the production of paper.
