ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
/ INJURED BY A SAW. On Saturday afternoon William Hamilton, of Southbrook, engine-driver, had Lis right, arm badly cut by a circular saw. Hamilton was adjusting the driving bolt when by some moans his arm was caught and drawn on to the saw. lie was removed to Brocklehurst Hospital, where Dr L. B. Burnett attended 1o hint, it being found necessary to stitch the arm muscles together again. CLERGYMAN INJURED. While motor-cycling from Templeton yesterday afternoon, after conducting a service, the Rev. G. W. Harding, vicar of Prebbleton, collided with a motor-car and received serious injuries, a thigh being fractured and his head cut. He was admitted to the Christehurch Hospital in a semi-conscious condition. Upon inquiry to-day it- was stated that Mr Harding is progressing favourably. ANOTHER~COLLISION. The above is one of many collisions reported in these columns during the past 12 months. These collisions are certain to cost the car owner a considerable sum unless we take the risk under one of- our comprehensive policies.
