FIRES.
OUTBEEAK AT EAKAIA. | About 11 a.m. yesterday a lire occurred in a large shed, owned by !Mr L. White, and used by Pyne, Goul<l, I Guinness, Ltd., as an office and i grain store. By the time the alarm was j given tlie flames had secured a good hold. The arrival of helpers with fire !extinguishers, however, saved the situation, and after some trouble the lira I was put out. The damage to the buildling, on which there is no insurance, is estimated at about £3O. The/ contents of the store were, not damaged.
