LOCO. MEN'S DISPUTE.
REPORT OF TRIBUNAL. CONSIDERED BY CONFERENCE. ■ Special to The Sun.) WELLINGTON, August 16. An important conference of delegate? from the loco, branch of the Railway Service is meetiDg in Wellington. Tho Engine-drivers', Firemen and Cleaners' Association has not yet accepted the. agreement drafted by the committed set up after the recent strike, and'it is known that some, of the branches aro opposed to acceptance, on the ground, that the agreement does not contain all that the loco, men demanded at tho tiine of tho strike. The conference will decide whether or not the agreement shall be accepted. Delegates trom all parts of Now Zealand are present. Tho proceedings were not completed to-day, and, in the meantime, the officers of tho E.F.C.A. have no statement to make. There is some gronnd for the belief that tho agreement will bo i confirmed.
