HEATHCOTE ROSE SHOW.
• The annual rose show at Hcathcote was held yesterday in St. Mary's Schoolroom. Mr C. Flavell, In declaring the show open, congratulated the exhibitors on the excellent bloom and display, which, he snid, compared favourably with any other exhibition. MrJl. Nairn acted as judge. The following are the results: — Collection of outdoor flowers, 12 varieties: Miss Field 1, Mrs Beckett 2. Twelve roses, distinct varieties: Mrs T. Arkley 1, Mrs L. Salt 2. Six roses: Mrs L. Salt 1, \V. Rndeliffe 2. Three roses: Miss May King 1, Mrs L. Salt 2. One rose, champion of the show: Mrs L. Salt. Collection of sweet peas, not exceeding 12 varieties: Mrs Arkley 1, Miss I. F. Evans 2. Six sweet peas, distinct varieties: Mrs Arkley 1. Three sweet peas: Mrs Arkley 1, Mrs Beckett 2. Six carnations: Miss Mclvadore 1. Collection of peony roses: Mrs Frank King 1, Mrs Fred King 2. Basket of flowers: Mrs Chas. Flavell 1. Vase of sweet peas: Mrs Arkley 1 and 2. Bowl of roses: Mrs Dickie 1, Mrs Meek 2. Bowl of flowers: Mrs Frank King 1, Mrs Fred King 2. Lady's spray: Mrs Dickie 1, Mrs L. Salt 2. Gent's buttonhole: Mrs Dickie 1. Decorated table: Mrs L. Salt 1 and 2. CHILDREN'S SECTION. Collection of outdoor flowers, 12 varieties: Miss 0. Radcliffe 1, Miss N. Flavell 2. Vase of roses: Miss B. Salt 1 and 2. Collection of any flowers: Miss D. Westbrook 1, Master L. Bates 2.
