Mr and Mrs David Friedlander came up from Ashburton to-day for the •week's gaieties. In the Excelsior Hall, Lyttelton, last evening the final of a series of dances promoted by the Trinity Tennis Club, for the purpose of raising funds to be devoted to the establishment of a second tennis court, was held. The arrangements were effectively carried out by a number of the lady members, and the dance was most enjoyable. Mrs Gorst supplied the music, and Messrs T. Wales and G. Cowan were the M.C. 's.
