RIFLE SHOOTING.
Tlie annual rifle shooting meeting or Group 11 was held on the range to-day between teams representing the Rangiora Rifle Club and the Territorials. The first practice consisted of five shots rapid and live shots deliberate at a secondclass figure, at 200 yds, and five shots slow at a second-class figure at 300 yds. The Territorials were represented by 20 competitors and the Rifle Club by eight. There was a nor'-wester blowing, making shooting conditions unpleasant, if not difficult. For the Rifle Club Sergeant-Majbr \Y. C. Shiltou and Rifleman G. Milne tied for first place with a score of So out of a possible 60. For the-Territorials, Ptc. W: T. Taylor was first -veUh a score of 32, and I). Blake second with n total of 31. Next Saturday a match will be shot off by the Cadets. At the luncheon adjournment the scores were as follow:
