DOMINION INDUSTRIES.
SITTING OF COMMISSION. Press Association. BLENHEIM, March 13. ( At the sitting of the Industries Commission, the chairman said the Commission had valuable information. He thought it would be able to some extent to reduce the cost of living, as well as help the industries of the country. Witnesses gave evidence of the conditions and output in the whaling industry, which required protective and developmental measures. They urged hydro-electric development in Marlborough and a railway extension to the West Coast coalfields, in view of the prospective location of a naval base at I'icton.
