The chairman (Mr A. Kaye) and the secretary (Mr Cyrus J. Williams) were appointed by the Lyttelton Harbour Board this morning to represent it at the Town Planning Conference to be held in Wellington during May. An application by the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade to the Harbour Board this morning for a monetary grant to enable the brigade to compete in the Canterbury Fire Brigades' competitions elicited a' sympathetic response, a sum of £5 5/licing voted for the purpose.

Directions have been issued to the Eegistrars of Electors in the city requiring them to receive applications for enrolment up to midnight to-morrow, the last day on which claims may be lodged. After.that time, even if posted previously, claims will be too late.
