A deputation, representing the timber and butter trades, asked Mr Jensen (President of the Board of Trade) to make representations to the New' Zealand Government not to prohibit the export of white pine. Mr Jensen, in reply, said that as president of the Board of Trade he would ask that body to agree that a motion protesting against the prohibition be forwarded to the New Zealand Government.
