ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
IaLLED BY A TRAM. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 18, The victim of the Bays water tram fatality was George Lovv, aged SO, a retired settler of Northcote. The evidence showed that the deceased was troubled with loss of memory, and often wandered. The driver of'the engine stated that the deceased rushed out of the scrub at the side of the road in front of the engine, being four feet distant when first seen. A verdict of accidental death, with no blame attachable to the driver, was returned. The, condition of Edward Woods, of Bligh 's Road, Papanui, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital on Saturday evening suffering from a fractured thigh—the result of a fall from a bicycle—is satisfactory.
