ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Tress Association. WELLINGTON, Jnw, 18. The annual conference of the Public Service Association carried the following remits: "That the Government be requested to amend the Public Service Act, 1912, so as to provide for the control of the service by a non-political board in place of a commissioner and two assistant commissioners us at present; such board to include at least one. member to be elected by public servants who arc members of the Public Service Association." '•That the Public Service Association, while recognising that amendments are still required in the system of commissioner control, express their keen disappointment if any attempt is made to revert to the former system of political control."
