RENEWAL OF THE GERMAN DRIVE IN THE WEST,
DEATHS FROM STARVATION. i Punter) ATHENS, May 20. A Bulgarian deserter states that there have been many deaths from starvation in Bulgaria. The Government barbarously suppressed numer-ous-outbreaks among the Bulgarians, who desire peace. Their forces arc now so weak in Macedonia that the 1918 class is being sent to the front line, although it is not properly trained. The army is ill fed and there are constant desertions.
